IS Elements

NASA's Intelligent Systems Project supports research in intelligent, self-monitoring, adaptive, and usable systems. It will drive revolutionary advances in human+machine system intelligence for NASA's next century of aerospace science, exploration, and transportation.

The IS Project operates within NASA's Software, Intelligent Systems, and Modeling (SISM) Program in the Exploration Systems Research and Technology (ESR&T) Development Program of NASA's Exploration Systems Mission Directorate (ESMD). It formerly operated within NASA's Computing, Information, and Communications Technology Program (CICT).

IS Project tasks are led by NASA Ames Research Center (ARC) and performed by the U.S. research community.
